The Pheasant is located on the edge of the estate with spectacular, wide and unobstructed views of the Elspeetse heathland. It is a completely ground-level and detached bungalow that has recently been modernized. This detached cottage of 70m² for up to 4 persons (1 pet allowed) has two bedrooms, a covered terrace and ample parking on site. The nature cottage is stylishly furnished and fully equipped.

In the woodland garden, in addition to a wooden picnic table, there is a teak dining table set for 6 and a two-seater wicker bench. At the edge of the moor there is also a bench, ideal for a quiet start to the day or to search for game in the evening. There is also a hammock.

Facilities

  • Living room with open kitchen:

    Fully equipped open kitchen with induction cooktop, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle. Refrigerator, sodastream, oven and washing machine in the hallway. Extensive crockery and cutlery, dining table for 6.

    Sitting area with 2 armchairs, generous sofa with unobstructed views of forest and heath through the wall-to-wall sliding doors, all-burner/fireplace, WIFI available. There is deliberately no television present.

    Bedroom with a double box spring and closet, second bedroom with two single box spring beds - Bathroom with shower and sink. Separate toilet. Windows are equipped with mosquito nets.

    Also present: food processor, toaster, sandwich iron, ironing board and iron, binoculars and night vision goggles. In the house are several (birding) booklets, maps and leaflets with routes and attractions in the area.

As a guest of our bungalow you have access to the facilities of hotel Stakenberg (including bike rental and catering). Characteristic is the spacious layout of the park, with groves and various clearings, large lots with lots of privacy, many winding paths and beautiful vistas to forest and heath. Around are several bicycle and hiking trails towards Staverden, Vierhouten and Elspeet. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you have come to the right place. Squirrels, boars, badgers, foxes, a motley cavalcade of birds, deer and other wildlife are regularly encountered here. The most beautiful and quiet place in the Veluwe.
